This is my 1966 Mustang Fastback. I have had it since I was
16 (now 25). I feel very blessed to have this car at such a young age and
plan to keep it forever.
Back in early 2001 I started an EFI swap on the car so I could use it as
a daily driver and enjoy good MPG along with driveability &
reliability. I would be going on to a university in mid/late 2001 and
wanted to be able to drive back and forth to home. After graduation, I could
then upgrade to a much higher performance level should I wanted.
Well, needless to say that project has never been finished. At
this point (Dec. 2005) I plan to just pull it all apart and do a frame
off restoration. I am also still deciding on what the final
drivetrain will be as I really miss that old Hi-Po motor.
However, the EFI motor will be nice as well and can be pushed to some
nice performance numbers through some boost. We'll see... I have plenty of
time to decide. I hope to start the rebuilding process within the next
two years.
